Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to check out this site. Chances are fairly good that you have arrived here either through my main website of mikehallviolin.com or my Youtube channel. However that may be, welcome, My hope is that you will find my channel useful and enjoyable and this site a helpful companion. Although this site has been up for awhile, this is my first time to use the blog feature offered with many website programs. I am making no promise yet of regular posts, but thought that it might be helpful to have a venue to supply additional information or thoughts relating to videos or content on the channel as needed. I will make mention of any new blog posts on the Home page of this site.
The videos below (which needs to be updated a little) explain a little of how to navigate through the channel and also this site.

As mentioned in the update video, you will notice that this website has pages with listing of many of the videos, which you can click on and go directly to that video on youtube. This does not take the place of the playlists on the channel but allows them to be organized in a more user-friendly way. I will be updating soon to include links to many of the newer videos. I will also add the wedding lists eventually so they can be categorized by instrumentation.
As you will see, the main bulk of my channel is performances of Suzuki Violin and Viola repertoire. I have some fast versions (although still slower than the original recordings), and have been adding some slower practice versions as well. I will be uploading the rest of the "slow" viola Book 3 and 4.videos soon My current recording projects are a slower violin book 6 collection, some redoing of Book 6, and a slow version of Suzuki Viola Book 5.
I will confess that like many "youtubers," I have a number of videos on my channel which probably would not be on youtube if I did not already have a channel. Since I do, they fit the violin theme and may be interesting, but are not directly educational in the same way
Thank you again for taking the time to check out this website and this writing. My goal for 2017 is to be releasing new videos weekly. As a teacher and a performing musician with a busy symphony schedule at the moment, I will do my best.
